Guiding safety on site

Certus is committed to ensuring that it exceeds the statutory requirements for Health, Safety & Environmental compliance. In recent years legislation, codes of practice, policies and procedures have undoubtedly significantly improved Health, Safety & Environmental standards in construction. At Certus, we are now fully promoting efforts to further improve these procedures through behavioural change.


All of our Site Managers / Supervisors hold either an IOSH managing safely certificate, a CITB SSSTS or the full CITB SMSTS. All of our operatives have CSCS cards as a minimum, with most holding CPCS accreditation for operating items of construction plant.

All of our employees understand their responsibilities for Health, Safety & Environmental. Our Health, Safety & Environmental performance is monitored daily in house via our site and visiting Management teams. This is further supported with the help of an outside Health and Safety Consultant.

Certus has an Environmental Management System certified to BS 8555: 2003.
